Maruti is looking very keen about its cars in the Indian market and with this keenness, this time it has given a full page advertisement in Friday's newspapers regarding a new Maruti SUV.  In this year's Auto Expo too, the company unveiled the SUV.  It is named Fronx!.  It has been built on the platform of the company's most successful hatchback car Baleno!. Maruti company has decided to take out this SUV looking at its Brezza SUV vehicle!  The company's target is to strengthen its hold in the entry level compact SUV.  The company is targeting those customers through this SUV.  Those who want to buy SUV like Brezza in low budget.  It will be sold through the company's premium dealership Nexa.

 Maruti is offering two engine options in the Fronx.  The first variant is of 1.2 liter petrol engine.  It produces 90 horsepower and 113Nm of torque!  The second variant is of 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine.  It gets 147.6Nm of torque with a capacity of 100 horsepower!  Maruti's most popular cars Alto K10, Celerio, Wagon r and Espresso also have a 1.0 liter engine!

 The size of any car or SUV matters a lot for the common Indian customer!  Fronx is giving a tough competition to all its competitors in this regard!  Fronx and Brezza are both sub 4 meter SUVs!  Many types of tax concessions are available from the government on cars of this size.  For this reason it is convenient to keep their price low.  The Fronx measures 3995mm in length, 1765mm in width and 1550mm in height.  The wheelbase is 2520mm.  The length of the bridge is also the same.  It is marginally 25mm more in width.  Although the Brezza is 135mm higher than the Fronx in height!  But in terms of wheelbase, Brezza is nineteen than Fronx!.  There is a slight difference of 8mm in the ground clearance of both.  The ground clearance of Fronx is 190mm!.
