2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R launched


Kawasaki India has launched the 2021 Ninja ZX- 10R at a price of `14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle made its international debut in Q42020, and Kawasaki India didn’t waste much time tobring this cutting-edge track machine to India. For the2021 model year (MY21), the Ninja ZX-10R gets a heavily reworked 998cc in-line four-cylinder engine. The peak power is rated at 200bhp with a peak torque of 114Nm. For heat management, the MY21 ZX-10R gets a liquid-cooled engine and an updated oil-cooler as well. The litre-classengine is housed in an aluminium twin-spar chassis, and the ZX-10R also gets an aluminium swingarm. As for suspension, the front gets Showa 43mm balance free and fully adjustable forks, with 120mm of travel. The rear gas-filled mono-shock is horizontally linked with a balance free cushion. The braking unit on the front end is a 330mm twin-disc setup, with Brembo’s M50 Monobloc callipers, while the rear end gets a 220mm single disc setup. The motorcycle also comes equipped with an Ohlins electronic steering damper and a two-way quick shifter.

BS6 Benelli TRK 502X arrives



The TRK 502X adventure motorcycle has made an appearance in the BS6 avatar, and Benelli has managed to price it up to `20,000 lower than the BS4 model it succeeds. The prices for the Benelli TRK 502X start at `5.2 lakh for the grey colour option,while the white and red colour option costs `5.3lakh (both prices ex-showroom). The TRK 502X is the more off-road biased version and comes equipped with components such as long travel suspension,wire-spoke wheels, and a larger fuel tank. Evenwith a BS6 engine, the TRK 502X makessimilar power and torque figures as before.

                    The peak power of 46.8bhp arrives at 8,500rpm, and the peak torque of 46Nm is delivered at 6,000rpm. Additional bits include aluminium reinforced knuckle guards, powder-coated and an adjustable handlebar with revised grips, back-lit switchgear and redesigned mirrors.


BMW M 1000 RR launched in India


BMW Motorrad India teased the M 1000 RRsometime ago. And now, theBavarian motorcycle maker has finallylaunched the motorcycle alongside its full-blownCompetition variant. The price for the BMW M 1000 RR is set at `42 lakh while the M 1000 RRCompetition will cost `45 lakh (ex-showroom).The M 1000 RR is the highest spec of the S 1000RR, which gets BMW’s ‘M’ grade engine parts andcomponents over the standard motorcycle - hence the name M 1000 RR. The engine on offer is the same 999cc in-line four-cylinder unit as the standard S 1000 RR but it has a higher compression ratio of 13.5:1. The power figures are 209bhp and 113Nm of torque. The M 1000 RR boasts a top speed of 304km/h (higher by 6km/h over the standard model) and a 0-100km/h timing of 3.1 seconds (claimed).


2021 Honda CBR650R & CB650R launched


The 2021 CBR650R has been launched in the BS6 avatar for the price of `8.88 lakh ex-showroom. Alongside the sports tourer, Honda has also launched the CB650R street naked motorcycle in India for an ex-showroom cost of `8.67 lakh. Both themotorcycles will be brought in via the CKD (CompletelyKnocked Down) route. The sports-tourer has become`1.18 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model andthe tweaks have dropped the power and torqueavailable and that has taken a hit at its power toweight ratio. However, the lighter naked version -the CB650R - could be the choice of mostbuyers who are looking for a mid-capacity everyday motorcycle. Both the motorcycles get a 648cc in-line four cylinder engine and the power and torque figures are rated at 85.82bhp and 57.5Nm. The CB650R tips the scale at naked motorcycle tips the scale at 206kg While the fully faired supersport is heavier by 5kg.
