PORSCHE PANAMERA
The 2021 Panamera gets tweaked styling with the Turbo S getting larger side vents to distinguish it from the other trims. Bigger changes, however, are in store under the hood: while the entry-level variant gets the same 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 with 325bhp and 450Nm, the GTS’ twin-turbo V8 gets a 20bhp bump up in power, to 473bhp and 650Nm. And, there’s a further 148bhp in case of the Turbo S (621bhp and 820Nm) courtesy the e-Hybrid system it now comes with.

BMW X3
The SportX is essentially an entry-level variant in the X3 lineup. On of fer is the same 2-litre turbocharged in-line-four petrol engine making 248.5bhp and 350Nm, mated to an 8-speed Steptronic ’box. Hence, the performance remains unchanged, with the SportX capable of the same 6.3-second time for the 0-100kmph sprint. However, retailing at `5.3 lakh less than the Luxury
Line variant, the SportX makes do with 18-inch alloys (instead of the 19-inchers on theLuxury Line), and eschews both the Dynamic Damper Control as well as the Dynamic Performance Control. Other notable omissions is the 12.3-inch digital cluster and 10.26-inch infotainment screen (replaced by a 5.7-inch display and an 8.8-inch central touchscreen infotainment system), the Harman Kardon sound system and wireless charging.

The first update to the MG ZS EV kicks of f with what the brand calls an ‘optimised’ battery pack with a claimed range of 419km, 79km more than the previously claimed range of 340km. The 44.5kWh battery pack delivers an unchanged 141bhp and 353Nm, with the 0-100kmph dash taking a claimed 8.5 seconds. The interiors too,get a makeover, with the updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring MG’s i-Smart EV 2.0 suite with over 60 connected car features. Through the phone app, you can check the battery status, range, and also control functions like climate control, engine start/stop and door lock/unlock. Finally, the ZS EV gets higher-
profile tyres and a 16mm increase in ground clearance.

MG HECTOR CVT
A few months after giving the Hector a significant refresh, MG has now endowed both the Hector and Hector Plus with a CVT – though only in the Smart and Sharp trim lines – that too at a price tag identical to the corresponding DCT-equipped variants. It isn’t often that manufacturers of ferthree separate transmission options onone variant, a choice the carmaker says it made as a way of of fering an added dose of convenience to its prospective customers.However, the 7-seater variants of the Hector Plus do not get this transmission.
